Account Assistant

Function Title: Accountant Assistant (Full Time 40 hours: Monday to Friday/08:00 am to 17:00 pm)

Directly Accountable to: Finance and Admin Manager             

Remuneration: Starting salary (gross salary) USD 340 to USD 380 (paid in Riels) depending on experience

Background: Since 2005, Cambodian NGO, MoPoTsyo Patient Information Centre is reaching more and more diabetes and high blood pressure patients with services in public hospitals, health centers and communities through Peer Educator Networks: More than 200 trained diabetes patients in 22 operational districts in 9 provinces are volunteering as Peer Educators. They help facilitate the services being used by more than 25,000 patients with diabetes and hypertension who are members of MoPoTsyo. For more background, https://see

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Reviewing supporting documents for the Accounts
  • Preparation of receipt vouchers, payment voucher and adjustment journal voucher and posting in QuickBooks.
  • Make transaction in Internet banking
  • Check monthly peer educator expenses report.
  • Checking daily bank statement to ensure the correctness of supporting documents
  • Properly filing of all receipt vouchers and other vouchers.
  • Reconciling A/R balance of contractors
  • Communicating to head of finance for any overdue balance.
  • Perform accounting functions as requested by Deputy of Finance and Head of Finance and Admin.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • Being able to read, write and understand written English and Khmer.
  • Any work that needs to be accomplished properly and timely.
  • Flexible and ready to do other work
  • Proficient in use of computer for communication by email, social media, working with documents in various data-formats, knowing how to convert formats, naming files, and storing them.
  • Eager to learn and problem-solving capability.
  • Understanding and commitment to MoPoTsyo’s vision, values.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work with management and staff at all levels
  • Be able  to work under pressure
