Data Entry Officer

Vacancy: Data Entry Officer (Full Time 40 hours: Monday to Friday)

Directly Accountable to: Head of IT Department

Remuneration: Starting salary will be set in the range of USD 200 to USD 220 per month (paid out in Riels) including taxes excluding benefits, depending on experience.

Background: As a Cambodian NGO, MoPoTsyo Patient Information Centre is reaching more and more diabetes and high blood pressure patients, expanding its services in public hospitals and health centers through our peer educator networks in 20 districts in 8 provinces in Cambodia. More than 200 peer educators report via patient network leaders to our Program Department on their activities by filling out forms. These must be entered into our database.  

Description of Vacant Position:  The Data Entry Officer (DEO) is a member of the IT Department team at MoPoTsyo’s HQ office in Phnom Penh. The DEO enters data from forms using MoPoTsyo’s own data entry software by following the standard procedures for data entry. To be successful in this role, applicant should be familiar with computer, email and social media, be able to perform administrative tasks accurately, following standard office management procedures. The applicant must have good communication skills to interact with colleagues and peer educators who work in the community, public health sector, and with colleagues working in other departments of MoPoTsyo.

Place in the organization: Member of database unit in IT Department, working closely with database team, IT Assistant, IT Manager and colleagues in other department.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Enter data from Assessments, laboratory results
  • Prepare documents as in standard procedure
  • Check and Report on data errors
  • Help with other tasks in IT department


  • Someone who works both accurately and fast
  • Student in field of IT or related field
  • Knowledge of working with computer, Ms Office, Internet, email
  • Problem solving skills, team player, able to work accurately under pressure
  • Command of basic written English
